Unfortunately the visibility wasn't particularly good.

macabre aftertaste, because that's exactly how it is, no longer.
The beautiful view and the currently free access to the tower are unfortunately marred by the lack of catering. No toilets, access to the ruins is blocked. The kiosk will operate sporadically on days like Pentecost. The information boards about opening times at the foot of the mountain have not yet been updated. However, there should be renewed efforts in the surrounding communities to activate activities related to this historical site. The mountain deserves it!

Nice vantage point with a good view. It's a shame that the Keulenberg is so little developed for tourism. Recommended in combination with the Oberlichtenau castle park.
No restaurants, only a snack bar is open on Sundays
Great destination, whether on foot or by bike. However, for various reasons, catering is only available on Sundays and public holidays. So, better take something with you in your backpack. It used to work too 😉 …
